Roots vacuum pump is a rotary positive displacement vacuum pump. Its structure evolved from the Roots blower. It appeared very early in Germany in 1944 as a mechanical booster pump to adapt to the vacuum smelting system with high pumping speed in the pressure range of 10 ~ 10~1000Pa.
The structure of Roots vacuum pump is the key to ensure the performance and use of the equipment. Therefore, users usually understand the structure and working mode of the equipment before use so as to better utilize the efficiency of the equipment.
Roots vacuum pump is a variable volume type with two vane-shaped rotors that can rotate in opposite directions or simultaneously. It has received long operational training in chemical plants, plastics, fertilizers, turbine generator rotor balancing, and aerospace indoor space simulation. Also often used in plateau petrochemical plants, metallurgy, industry, textiles and other industrial production. Vacuum pump parts are used as vacuum pump silencer to deal with the noise of vacuum pump.
I. Principle of Roots vacuum pump
Roots vacuum pump is a vacuum pump without internal contraction. Generally speaking, the compression ratio of the engine is very low, so the high and medium vacuum pump is the front pump, and the Roots vacuum pump is the mechanical equipment vacuum pump with armor skin rotor working at the same time in high speed. This pump can't vacuum alone, the front needs a skeleton seal and water ring in order to discharge air directly. It is through a pair of vane rotor, rotating in the same direction from the pump hole and rotating in the opposite direction to keep vacuum by moving the vapor.
Second, Roots vacuum pump structure configuration
How the two rotors of the empty pump are placed on the pump casing determines the overall structure of the pump, and its overall structural arrangement generally has three planning programs.
1, column type: the middle center line of the two rotors is installed horizontally, but the plane view consisting of the middle center line of the two rotors is perpendicular to the plane, which can set the pump inlet to be horizontal and make it easier to set up the assembly line and connecting pipeline. However, the drawback is that the center depth of the pump is too high, and reliability decreases during high-speed operation. Therefore, in addition to small machine pumps, choose this form of structure is not much.
2, vertical: plane view horizontal, in which the middle center line of the two rotors are installed horizontally, two rotor middle center line composition. This structure of the pump inlet on the pump, the exhaust port is under the pump. The exhaust port below is generally connected horizontally, so the suction pipe directions are perpendicular to each other. The exhaust port comes out of the hole in both directions from a tee pipe, which is connected to the exhaust pipe at one end and applies when the other end is screwed or stuck into the valve. This structure is characterized by low focus and good stability in high-speed operation.
3、Vertical shaft type: The middle centerline and plane of the rotor of Roots vacuum pump are installed vertically. The structure of the assembly line clearance is easy to operate, the rotor assembly line is convenient, small footprint, but electric gears and other transmission mechanism assembly is cumbersome, wheeled equipment is also cumbersome.
